Our Story
"Where the wild feels like Home"
More than a decade ago, a journey to Tadoba changed everything.
An encounter with wild tigers in their natural habitat sparked a deep and lasting connection with the forest. What began as a simple visit soon turned into a passion for exploring India’s jungles and experiencing the remarkable wildlife and landscapes they hold.
But during those travels, one thing became clear. While the forests were breathtaking, the places to stay often lacked the warmth, comfort, and hospitality that could truly complement such extraordinary surroundings.
That realization planted the seed for what would eventually become Namir Jungle Retreat—a place where guests could experience the wilderness without compromising on comfort, good food, or genuine hospitality.
What started as opening our home—a small two-bedroom villa and four simple cottages—slowly grew into a peaceful jungle retreat with eight cottage rooms, a private villa, a pool, and a gazebo (and we continue to expand). Yet despite this growth, the heart of Namir Jungle Retreat remains unchanged.
We continue to welcome every guest the way we would welcome a friend arriving at our doorstep—with warmth, care, and a shared love for the forest.
Located just 15 minutes from Moharli Gate, Tadoba’s most renowned safari entrance, the camp offers a perfect gateway to the jungle while remaining a quiet sanctuary surrounded by nature.
At Namir Jungle Retreat, we believe a stay in the jungle is about more than just spotting a tiger. It is about slowing down, listening to the forest, discovering its countless small wonders, and forming a deeper connection with the wild.

Every Safari, Planned With Intention
Every safari at Namir Jungle Retreat is planned with intention. Our experienced naturalists take the time to understand your interests, whether you are focused on tiger sightings, birdlife, photography, or simply observing the forest at a slower pace.
Safaris are conducted in Tadoba’s core zones, with careful attention to timing, routes, and seasonal movement of wildlife. Rather than following fixed itineraries, each drive is shaped by real-time forest conditions and your curiosity.
